The Bontempi Vibo’s history started on 1961, when Mr. Bruno Bontempi, after not many years of agency and commercial experience in the screw and abrasive wheel industry, drop-forged, in a little factory of Berzo Inferiore, the first bolt marked VI-BO.
During the 60’s the factory continued with the drop-forging of screws, nuts and tension rods. Mr Bontempi sold to different foreign customers in particular customers in Germany and Switzerland. Brescia effected the local distribution of marketable products.
During the 70’s the Company started the screws, bolts and nuts cold pressing and, in 1974, the Brescia’s warehouse was moved to the actual address at Via Cacciamali 52. The market was composed by different screws distributors around the world and big ultimate users. In order to follow all these customers we constituted different Commercial Company’s in France, UK and Holland.
During the 80’s Bontempi constituted the Vibo Sud, and in 1988 started the production of complementary screws in relation to Berzo’s production in the modern Calabritto factory. In the same time the drop-forging department was definitively dismissed as Bontempi started the cold pressing of M 27 x 220 bolts.
At the beginning of 90’s Mr. Max Bontempi, after a period of work carried out at the Commercial department, started the direction of the Company and he also modified the Company’s organization and obtained the System Quality Certification.
From 2003 the company continues under the original family ownership and is now guided by Mr. Raoul Bontempi.
