A new heat treatment line to boost production capacity

We have installed a new quenching heat treatment furnace at our production plant in Calabritto, Avellino.

This investment aligns with the objectives of Bontempi VIBO’s strategic growth plan, which aims to double our production capacity by 2028. The expansion in terms of production volume started with this installation, which was realised in parallel to the existing southern heat treatment line.

Thanks to the new furnace, with a nominal capacity of 1,800 kg/h, we will be able to increase the plant’s annual production by an additional 10,000 tonnes. The investment also includes the acquisition of new moulding equipment, which allows the furnace to operate continuously, and a new packaging line.

Sustainability and innovation always at the forefront

With a view to sustainability, we have implemented a system for recovering the heat dissipated by the oven, thus allowing no energy to be wasted and saving 20% of the consumption of methane gas, which is recovered and reused in other stages of the process.

In addition, the furnace will be interconnected with the company’s information systems in accordance with Industry 4.0 principles. It is equipped with automatic devices to control process parameters and can track activities within the line in real time.
